The Wave wants you to get ready for a powerful night of music and meaning at Vinegar Hill Music Theatre on Saturday, June 22!

Higher Ground – A Tribute to the Superstars of Soul brings together 20 of Portland’s most accomplished musicians to honor legends like Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, and Marvin Gaye. The evening features special guest Julia Gagnon of American Idol fame, and proceeds benefit Sweetser, a Maine-based nonprofit providing critical behavioral health services to children and families.

With talents from bands like BOBA FUNK, Papa Tim and the Whisky Throttle Band, and more, this show promises unforgettable energy, soul, and community spirit. Produced by Marc Kaplan—known for sold-out tributes across Maine—this event will sell fast.
